A federal judge has dismissed the criminal cases against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James that President Trump had ordered the DOJ to pursue. District Judge Cameron Currie ruled that interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan’s appointment in Virginia was “invalid.” The DOJ may appeal or refile the charges. The DOJ has asked two judges in New York’s Southern District to approve the release of grand jury transcripts and exhibits from the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell cases. The request follows the new law, passed last week, which requires the files’ release within 30 days. The Pentagon has launched an investigation into Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) following a video he and other Democrat veterans posted urging service members to reject illegal orders. President Trump called the video “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!” However, U.S. soldiers are obligated to refuse illegal orders. The issue surfaced as President Trump seeks a deal to end Moscow’s nearly four-year war on Ukraine. Virginia State Police have launched a statewide search for Travis Turner, the 46-year-old head coach of Union High School’s undefeated football team. Officials said Turner disappeared Thursday while under a law enforcement investigation. Agents had visited his home Thursday but found he was gone.
